Coastal Players Tour Mission Statement
The mission of The Coastal Players Tour will be to provide quality professional golf tournaments with a focus on Player value. With this in mind we are committed to putting as much as possible back into the Player’s purse and we are dedicated to promoting the individual Player in furthering their career as a Professional Golfer. The Coastal Players Tour will also strive to give back to the local community through donations to charities and fundraising through Pro-Am tournaments.
TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP DETAILS
The Winner of the Tour Championship will receive a paid entry into the 2009 PGA Tour Qualifying School. For players that are not exempt into the first stage the fee will be paid for the Pre-Qualifier no later than the last Friday in July 2009. Then if the player makes it to the first stage of qualifing school all remaining fees will be paid at that time. This prize is subject to change only if something more beneficial to the player is negotiated. This tournament will not be held and this prize will not be offered if less than 7 events are held.
The Top 20 Players on the Order of Merit at the end of the season will be eligible for the Tour Championship. A sample purse for the Tour Championship can be viewed here.
Winter Tour Policies
TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
The tournament committee will define all terms and make all final decisions. The committee is as followed:

FORMAT
54 Hole events with a cut after 36 holes to the top 40%. Checks will be written and given to players on the last day of each event. Fields will be limited to 100 players. The Tour is committed to putting a minimum 81% of the player entry back into the purse. The one ball rule will be in effect at all events.

PAYMENT
Credit Card payment via the Coastal Players Tour website will be accepted. Checks will also be accepted only if mailed to the Tour office prior to the deadline.
ELIGIBILITY
All professionals and any Amateur with a USGA handicap of 3.0 or less, Handicap cards will be checked at events for Amateurs. Amateurs will be paid in accordance with the USGA Rules of Amateur Status.
CONDUCT
Conduct that is unbecoming of a Coastal Players Tour professional will not be tolerated and may result in warnings, disqualifications, fines, and suspensions. The Player’s conduct is a direct reflection of the integrity and image of the Tour. The Player is also responsible for their caddies' conduct and will abide by the same standards. The image is a valuable asset to the future well being of the Tour and will be preserved at all cost. The first violation will result in a $50 fine, second will result in a $100 fine, and the thid will result in a $200 fine and possible suspension.
Conduct that is unbecoming is defined as:

Throwing/Breaking of any club.

Excessive profanity.

Actions causing property/personal damages.

Alcohol consumption / drug use on site before or during an event
ATTIRE
Player’s attire is very important to the image of the Tour and will be monitored at each event. Players are not allowed to wear jeans or denim. Shorts may be worn, but must be of bermuda length. Soft spikes are mandatory at all events. Player’s personal grooming will be neat and professional. This policy should also be reserved during any practice round. The committee will define any question a Player may have. Player is subject to discipline if in violation of this policy.
PACE OF PLAY
Slow play will be watched closely by Tour Officials and will be defined under Rule 6-7 in the USGA Rules Book “The player shall play without undue delay and in accordance with any pace of play guidelines which may be laid down by the committee.” Each player should be aware of their own pace of play and monitor their competitors. If a player is "on the clock" that players shall have 40 seconds to play their subsuquent shots.
Expected Time of Play:
Par 3 | 12 Minutes
Par 4 | 14 Minutes
Par 5 | 16 Minutes
OUT OF POSITION
Out of Position will be defined as the first group to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, the group exceeds the time allotted per hole, as detailed on the applicable course's Local Rules Addendum. The second and third groups, and additional groups as determined by the Rules Committee when play is in pairs, to start will be considered out of position if, at any time during the round, they (a) exceed the allotted time to play or (b) reach any place where there is an open par-3 or par-4 hole, or when the preceding group is on the putting green of a par-5 hole when the group in question is on the teeing ground. Players will recieve on course warning for being out of position and during the course of the season ater the 4th warning there will be a $100 fine.
INCLEMENT WEATHER
Due to weather or other unforseen circumstances the Tour reserves the right to reduce the length of the tournament to 18 or 36 holes.
CELL PHONES
Players and caddies will not be allowed to use cell phones on the golf course and will need to be turned off before prior to tee time. Players may use cell phone to call for a committee member to make a ruling on the course, but must be turned off afterwards.
RETURNED CHECKS
Any Player issuing a bad check will incur a $25 fee and will not be allowed to play in a Coastal Players Tour event until paid.
PRACTICE ROUND PACE OF PLAY
With preserving the image of the Player all practice rounds should be completed in no longer than four and a half hours. The attire policy is also in effect and should be observed. Contact Tour Officials for tee time information.
SCORING
Players may be asked to provide their first nine-hole score for the scoreboard.
All players are required to return their scorecards to the scoring area immediately following the tournament round. Players are required to remain in the scoring area until all players in their group have returned their scorecards to the committee. A breach of this rule will be considered unprofessional conduct and will be subject to discipline.
LATE TO THE TEE
Late to the tee will be defined using Rule 6-3 from the USGA Rules Book “The player shall start at the time laid out by the Committee.” The Coastal Players Tour adopts the note that allows for a Player to be up to 5 minutes late with a 2 stroke penalty. After 5 minutes the Player will be disqualified.
ELECTRIC YARDAGE DEVICES
Electronic measuring devices may be used during any event. Players may not use devices that measure slope, wind or anything other than distance.
TIES AND PLAYOFFS
Ties will be decided by sudden death playoff with the committee selecting the hole or holes.
DEADLINES
Deadlines for sign-ups will be 10 days prior to the event. If the player withdraws after this date 50% of their entry fee will be returned, unless the withdraw is due to qualifying for a Nationwide or PGA Tour event. Players signing up after the deadline will encure a $50 late fee. The Coastal Players Tour reserves the right to alter this policy at anytime.
PAIRING PROCEDURE
No request will be honored for Player pairing and all pairing will be random and final.
